Introduction

A lab three roll mill is applicable for pilot grinding of thick pastes. It has three horizontal rollers i.e. feed roll, center roll and apron roll. Each roller rotates in an opposite direction from the adjacent roller with a tiny gap between them adjustable mechanically, which generates tremendous shear force to the materials to process. Viscous materials can be uniformly mixed, dispersed, squeezed, ground and homogenized by the mill. The products are discharged by the discharge scraper automatically. The process will be repeated for several times until the solids in the products are evenly processed and the particle sizes are acceptable.
