In the process of dry grinding, due to the design of the grinding chamber, there may be some dead corners. Some materials in the dead areas cannot be processed. However, the wet grinding also has a weak point, that is, the powdersmust be dried after wet processing. Removal of water or other liquids will cause extra energy consumption and cost. Because of this cement cannot be milled with wet grinding equipment. Therefore, the two have their own characteristics. It is advisable to choose the appropriate grinding method according to the specific production process.
Both dry grinding mills and wet grinding mills are composed of the main parts such as the feeding unit, the discharging unit, the rotating unit, and the transmission part (reducer, geared motor) and the electric control system.
They are different in the discharge mode of finished products. The discharge port of a dry ball mill is straight cylindrical and is equipped with an air-inducing device for dust collection. The discharge port of a wet ball mill is horn-shaped with a built-in screw device for easy discharge. Wet ball mills are more popular because of theperfect grinding fineness and excellent beneficiation effect.
