1. Before starting the machine (must be done, risk level: high)
1. Personnel qualifications
• Must undergo safety training and hold a certificate to work.
• Wear personal protective equipment such as goggles, earplugs, gloves, and non-slip shoes.
2. Equipment inspection
• Grinding media: Confirm that the particle size and filling rate (60–80%) of zirconium beads/glass beads are consistent with the process card.
• Stuck inspection: After a long period of shutdown, manually rotate the dispersion disk first. If it cannot be turned, inject solvent to dissolve it and then start it. Forced start is strictly prohibited.
• Screen/top screen: Check whether there is crusted paint slurry. If it is blocked, it must be cleaned with solvent first to prevent "top bursting".
• No-load prohibition: It is strictly prohibited to start when there is no material or beads in the cylinder.
3. Environment and energy
• Cooling water: First pass water, flow rate ≥1 m³/h, outlet temperature ≤40 ℃.
• Power supply: Confirm that the power supply, grounding, and emergency stop buttons are intact.
2. During operation (risk level: medium-high)
1. Parameter monitoring
• Temperature: Keep the grinding chamber at 30–60 ℃. If the temperature exceeds the limit, reduce the speed or increase the cooling water.
• Pressure: ≤0.3 MPa. If the pressure is too high, stop the pump first to check the screen for blockage.
• Speed: Increase the speed step by step according to the process table. It is forbidden to pull it to full speed instantly to prevent overload.
2. Abnormal handling
• "Top burst" alarm: stop the pump immediately → stop the machine → clean the screen → restart.
• Vibration/abnormal sound: stop the machine immediately to check the medium damage or bearing wear.
3. Personnel behavior
• It is forbidden to open the observation window or reach out to feed during operation.
• It is forbidden for multiple people to operate the same equipment at the same time.
3. After shutdown (risk level: medium)
1. Cleaning
• Use solvent to push out the residual material. The dispersion disk can only rotate at "intermittent + low speed" to prevent dry grinding.
• The screen, rotor, and cylinder wall must be free of residue to avoid cross contamination.
2. Maintenance
• Clean, screen and replenish zirconium beads every 3-6 months.
• Check mechanical seals and bearing grease and replace if necessary.
IV. Long-term shutdown
Drain the grinding media to prevent sedimentation and hardening.
Manually turn the wheel once a month to prevent the shaft seal from sticking.
