In order to maintain a good working condition, the horizontal sand mill needs regular lubrication. The selection of lubricating oil requires the processing surface, horizontal sand machine material, abrasive particle size, grinding method and process steps.
For example, the horizontal sand mill uses large grain abrasives for rough grinding with a large margin, and a lubricant with a large surface tension coefficient and a high viscosity is selected. Due to the thicker oil film, greater oil viscosity and buoyancy, the grinding efficiency will be greatly reduced. The grinding pressure on the workpiece and the surface of the horizontal sand mill is shallow, and the cutting speed is slow.
On the contrary, the horizontal sand mill chooses lubricants with small surface tension coefficient and low viscosity, which will accelerate the breaking of abrasive particles and ensure high grinding efficiency. In this way, we need to choose a medium-viscosity lubricant according to the specific situation and play a good role in the equipment.
When selecting lubricants for horizontal sand mills, the selected products should have good lubricating and cooling effects, viscosity, and dilution capabilities to ensure that the normal grinding does not accumulate and distribute evenly. Make the abrasive particles adhere to the surface of the horizontal sand mill. The viscosity of lubricating oil is generally between 1.2-2.5e/20°C.
At the same time, try to choose a lubricant that is less affected by temperature changes, and the lubricant should be easy to clean. In addition, the lubricating oil should be suitable for horizontal sanding machines with different processing speeds to improve the cleanliness of the workpiece surface without scratching the workpiece. Can the lubricating oil speed up the grinding speed and improve the grinding efficiency.
