The cause of noise in the reducer of Paint Mixing Tank

Jul 25, 2021

There are generally three reasons for the noise produced by the reducer of Paint Mixing Tank:

First, the parameter factor. This is mainly reflected in two aspects, one is the gear accuracy. High-precision gears can run more smoothly in the process of mechanical transmission, and the noise generated is also less. However, the reality is that sometimes when designing and processing gears, designers will, out of economic considerations, choose low-precision gear grades as much as possible under the premise that the basic strength requirements are met. cost. Gears with low accuracy grades are likely to have backlash and noise. Second, the gear width. Within the range allowed by the gear transmission design, appropriately increasing the tooth width of the passive gear can increase the contact area, improve the smoothness of the gear transmission, increase the gear load capacity, and achieve a great reduction in noise.

Second, the precision factor. First, the degree of gear meshing. This means that the gear can reach a stable state in actual work. When the gear rotates one circle, there will be multiple rotation angle errors, which may cause noise of varying degrees. Secondly, the contact accuracy of the gear. Refers to the size of the contact point between two gears. Different contact points produce different noises during gear transmission. If the contact points are larger, then smaller noises will be generated, and vice versa, larger noises will be generated. Finally, the accuracy of the gear movement. The accuracy of the transmission when the gear moves is its movement accuracy. Generally speaking, after the gear moves one round, there will be a rotation angle error. If the accumulated error value between the teeth is large, some noise will appear. When the accumulated value continues to increase, it will affect the meshing degree of the gear, causing the angular velocity to change, thereby increasing the noise.

Third, the assembly factor. This is also reflected in two aspects. On the one hand, the gear axial assembly clearance is insufficient, and the sliding joint surface between the gear end face and the front and rear end covers. If the burrs on the gear are not removed in time before assembly, these burrs will be lost during operation. It will damage the gear joint surface, cause large internal leakage, reduce the output flow, and reduce the gear transmission efficiency; on the other hand, after the debris enters the gear box, it will aggravate the wear between the gear teeth and reduce the smoothness of the gear during rotation. As a result, it will not only negatively affect the gear transmission efficiency, but also cause serious noise.
