What is the effect of temperature on the disperser

Jun 09, 2023

Among the existing equipment, the sand mill and the disperser are mainly two independent functional equipment. The grinding material needs to be dispersed through another process, which seriously affects the working efficiency of the equipment. In addition, during the grinding and dispersing process, the flow rate of materials with different viscosities is wide, and there are problems such as large heat and poor heat dissipation performance during the grinding process.
When running at high speed, the high-speed rotation of the cutter head will generate a strong shear force, and the material will generate heat, thereby increasing the temperature in the tank. When handling liquids with a jacket, the heating should be stopped.
In fact, if too little heat is generated, the disperser can be considered inefficient or poorly dispersed. However, an increase in slurry temperature has some adverse effects;
An increase in temperature, even if the temperature increase is small, will greatly reduce the viscosity of the material, making the laminar flow turbulent, and the turbulent kinetic energy will be converted into heat immediately, resulting in an unsatisfactory temperature increase. Later, the dispersion effect was replaced by thermal synergy, and the reworking of the diffuser was just a waste of time and effort. Additionally, increased material temperature can damage additives, evaporative losses, or reduce efficiency. As the temperature increases, the solubility of the agent in water increases, which reduces the adsorption capacity of the solid-liquid interface, thereby reducing its use effect.
