1. Choose low-temperature resistant grease
In cold areas, the bearings of sand mills need to be regularly supplemented with low-temperature resistant grease to ensure their smooth operation under low-temperature conditions. The following are some recommended grease types:
Synthetic grease: Synthetic grease (such as grease using PAO as base oil) has excellent low-temperature performance and can maintain good fluidity under extreme low-temperature conditions. For example, Baoxing Lubricant's BX-434 multi-purpose food-grade low-temperature waterproof grease series is suitable for low-temperature environments and can reach low-temperature operating conditions of -40°C.
Low-temperature grease: Low-temperature grease is a multi-functional grease with a wide application temperature range and is particularly suitable for low-temperature environments. For example, Deutsch molybdenum disulfide low-temperature grease has good low-temperature performance and extreme pressure anti-wear properties, and is suitable for lubrication of various bearings and gears at low temperatures.
2. Pay attention to the use and maintenance of grease
Regularly replenish grease: No matter what kind of grease is used, it is necessary to regularly check and replenish the grease to ensure the normal operation of the lubrication system.
Avoid mixing grease: Different types of grease may have different chemical compositions and properties, so when changing grease, try to use products of the same brand and model to avoid poor lubrication caused by mixing.
Check the lubrication system: Before using in winter, check the sealing of the lubrication system and the distribution of grease to ensure that the grease can evenly cover key components such as bearings.
